Travel is the best teacher!
Why I say that?
Well, the few reasons on top of my head are – it broadens your mind and opens your heart and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The adventures you have, delicious local food you eat, meeting new people, experiencing the different cultures, and the mesmerizing sunrises & romantic sunsets which are few parts of this package!
There is a part you know, and a part you don’t. Well, to tell you the truth, it’s a wide world and we’ve got a lot to discover. It’s more than we can imagine. You do not know what can spark you, what can inspire you. You meet different people with different perspectives. There are moments of learning as well as experiences which combine to give us fond memories.
I know what you are thinking, who has the time to travel? And do not even start us with the expenses the travel plan comes with? Well, let me tell you one thing. Unless you stop seeing travel as an expense you will not be able to feel the joy behind the exposure. I believe ‘Where there is a will, there is a way!’

Money is a subjective aspect. Yes, you need it for existence but it’s also one of the major ingredient which will help you complete your wander list! You know how people say, ‘Live life for the moment because everything else is uncertain.’
We humans have a tendency to keep the best things for the future. Especially when it comes to travelling. It’s either the job or the family that comes in between the trip you are planning to get the best times of your life or it’s just simply us being afraid to step out of our comfort zones. I am not saying that you shouldn’t value your family or not be grateful for your job. All I am saying is, we all deserve to live for ourselves and give credit to ourselves for making the ends meet. The travelling can be in any form, be it – solo, with your partner, with your family or with your friends. The experiences are very different in each of the cases, but the immense happiness you get at the end is common.
My parents are enthusiastic travelers and so I understood long back that travelling has its own mesmerizing ways to give you the happiest moments to cherish. Till date, I have successfully traveled across India whenever I got time, be it with my family, friends, or flying solo. I know it’s easier said than done. So, lets see if my travelling experiences will be able to change your mind or not.
Last year on my birthday my mind gifted me a thought to plan my first International trip to Russia. I always wanted to visit the country as the culture and the history of it always fascinated me. Since, none of my friends came onboard so I decided to travel solo. Now, travelling alone in your own country and travelling alone internationally are two very different ball park. Like any other person, I was intimidated and skeptical how this trip will happen. On a friend’s advice, I went ahead and booked the flight tickets thinking this way I would not back out or would have a chance to change my mind.
Looking back today, I have learned that no matter how hard the wish is, we should have the zeal to fulfill it and understand that there is nothing like a perfect time or a perfect day to get it done. I feel euphoric for taking the step, otherwise seeing the epidemic situation we are in today, god knows when that thought would have seen the light of the day.
To conclude I would urge that If you can, just go for it and enjoy the present. It’s us who will have to work for our own happiness because you can never make yourself believe to go on such or any trip ever. You just have to pack your bags and enjoy the adventure it will bring and embrace the time and the memories.
“Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.”
